I'm currently titled an Agile coach but have covered product owner roles and worked in many hybrid roles that had me covering product manager responsibilities. I am currently updating my resume to highlight product responsibilities and achievements and want to start applying for PM roles.

I've never formally held the title of PO or PM though. Any advice for me trying to break into a PM role?

Has anyone moved from FDD to Strategy? I have an offer for FDD but long term goal is to break into strategy. Don’t want to have to get an MBA unless it’s firm sponsored…and FDD is easier to get in compared to Strategy

I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. Thoughts on making the shift?

I am attempting to get a promotion for a top retailer in the US. My boss has been begging me for months to take the shift and I have refused simply because it is fully overnight. From what I have heard, you have to have managerial experience in order to be considered for the manager position for that shift but we are going on 3 months without anyone being hired. Does anyone have any insight into partners retiring early? I am at a point where I need to consider leaving if I am not aiming for partner. I don’t see myself working past my 40s.
