Hi ! I went through the process myself just last week. Also for a contract Sourcer role so hope this helps:
(2) 45 min video interviews - can do so back to back or split into 2 days
- Resume walk through (Give an intro of your experience and tie it into Why TikTok?
- My first interviewer supported Technical roles so the questions were more behavioral “Tell me about a time when…” and I answered with the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) method.
- Tell me about a time you worked on a new req you have never worked on before, how did you go about sourcing?
- How do you know if your pipeline is healthy?
- What tools do you use?
- What reqs have you supported? How many?
To best prepare, just have stories ready for your most challenging req, your most proud hire, know your metrics (example: if your goal is 2 hires/month then you would work backwards: 200 LinkedIn Reach Outs per week > 15+ Online Assessments or 15-20 Recruiter Phone Screens per week. If you’re not hitting your hire goal then increase your inputs.)
- The 2nd interviewer supported Product roles. This was more conversational. They leave 10-15min aside for questions so come prepared at the end to ask questions surrounding onboarding, the culture, etc.
Good luck !
This is amazing! Definitely post this on Glassdoor etc- you'll help many others!
Believe it or not, YouTube actually has a ton of videos about TikTok interview prep. Not sure if there are any specific to HR, but that might be a good place to start. Also, Glassdoor usually has interview questions and you can usually search by role. Best of luck!
I wouldn’t imagine it being very different from most techno focused companies rn.
Do you know what area the role focuses on?
They didn’t tell you anything more detailed during the screen?
