Investment focused professionals, trying to get a feel for what you do primarily "home office meetings" verse "kitchen table" type meetings. And does it vary by the company you work for....

This week I started a listen through my entire record collection from front to back. I’ll be doing this on workdays when I am in my home office. Did it a few years ago. Collection has grown a lot since then. But I’m not doing comedy and spoken word this time. Too hard to work to those. I expect it to take 4-6 weeks at least. Depending on how many calls I have.

Any recs for standing desk and good ergonomic chairs for home office?

I am a field marketer. I travel and cover 12 states. HQ is across the US on the east coast. My manager put a surprise calendar invite twice now to go to home office without consulting dates to see if we were available. I stood up and asked to be included on available dates and said I will attend virtually but asking me to be away for 4 additional full days away from my family without asking me is not OK. I already travel a lot and this boundary is super important to me. Am I right or wrong?

About to pull the trigger on an uplift v2 standing desk and I live in a 710sqft apt. I'm considering either 48x30, which fits perfectly in a nook beside my couch, or do I push it and get 60x30? It won't fit in the nook, but will still fit in-between couch and the wall. Nervous about moving into a smaller apt at some point and being stuck with a large desk.

I'm at a small firm with 2 associates and 1 managing partner. The partner fired our 1 paralegal and now puts a lot of paralegal work on me. I'm the first female attorney this firm has had in over 30 years. I'm not allowed to bill for the paralegal work and already have to meet 40 billables/wk. The other associate is a man but has the exact same credentials/experience as me, but gets more cases/high stakes cases and is never asked to do paralegal work. Am I delusional to think my boss is sexist?

I joined mindtree in Jan 2022. Suddenly there is a 10k deduction in salary in the month of April. The salary slip say 10k deduction as INCOME TAX.
Mindtree says "You come under 20% slab according to the income tax calculations. When all the tax slabs are applied you will have to pay yearly tax around Rs. X amount. So that amount will be deducted in monthly basis."
Why sudden income tax deduction? Why was that not deducted in the month of Jan Feb March ?
