May I know what is the notice period if one resigns in infy during the first 6 months of joining? I am a lateral resource and they hired me in June, but they have no projects related to my tech and want me to take weird roles.. seems they are hiring to increase employee count and cross training most. just looking for options..

Am I doing a mistake? Going from PwC to Accenture for $45K more (113 Vs 158), and a role that’s better aligned with what I was doing before joining & what I want to be doing? I joined PwC for the experience and the exit opportunity it can provide me in the future, but it’s hard not to accept this role from Accenture! Decision need to be made by end of this week….

I need a sabbatical
But the long never ending implementation I'm on(which is the cause for me wanting a sabbatical) makes that undoable
Bruh same. It’s not wrong. I feel like I’m working all the time
Chief
Not wrong. This was me a few months ago. Took personal leave for a few months. I’m back at it and rejuvenated. Did taking time off solve all my issues? No, but it certainly helped me reflect on life and be reminded on what matters most - my health, family, and friends - 3 things that I neglected the past few years, and even more so these past few months.
I was lucky to have partners at my firm who supported my needs. I never felt guilty for prioritizing me.
That sounds really soothing and like something that has served you well. I’m glad you have the support!
Def something I’m going to try to do once I accrue enough PTO (just left my old firm and starting fresh at another).
You don’t get out of that mentality. It’s not good to just work work work until you die. Especially now during covid people are just carrying on like it’s business as usual without taking a second to evaluate their mental health.
Sounds like it’s time for a sabbatical.
I totally agree with you. Sadly, I just left a job that probably would have been okay with me doing this given my years there. I just started a new job a couple of months ago. So I don’t see that option being available anymore 😥
How could the way you feel, be wrong in any way?
I think I got used to feeling bad for being burnt out?
I think the majority of people are feeling this. I truly love my job but feel the same way. Utter exhaustion and having a hard time motivating for any task some days. I don't have an answer but perhaps it helps to know you are not alone in this.
It does. Thank you! Definitely hope things get better soon for everyone’s health.
