I recently read a really interesting book called Brain Surfing. It’s about a strategy leader who takes a sabbatical to interview and live with some of the top strategy minds — you get to understand who they are, how they think and some tips for how they get to a strategy. https://books.google.com/books/about/Brain_Surfing.html?id=2X-vAQAACAAJ&source=kp_book_description
A little more abstract, I’ve made it a goal to read a biography of each US president. The political acumen needed during the founding of the country is a fascinating takeaway for the politics of corporate life. Another great one I love is “the 48 laws of power” by Robert Greene. Chalk full of historical anecdotes about interesting lessons to be learned throughout history.
