Having 3YoE in procurement research and now in a research team at an MBB, I feel I've reached plateau learning-wise. Have been focused in Chemical domain throughout.

I now intend to explore roles on client(Chemical Companies) side (like SCM, Planning, Strategy) but unsure how do I go about it.

What should be an ideal career roadmap for someone like me. How should I prepare/do in order to pivot towards those roles?

I’ve seen some posts about pros and cons of boot camps or learning additional languages but with my current experience, would either of these be a realistic path to get a job? I started my first in-house role about 4 months ago and I don’t think it’s the right fit. I love the no billable hours aspect, but otherwise I miss the structure of being at a firm. How long do you think I should try to stick this out before I move on? I want to give the job a real shot - and i know the transition to in-house can be jarring…but I also don’t want to spend too much time in a job that is a wrong fit.

Welp I’m nearing my first month into this AAE position, and now I’m realizing why I should’ve really seen being hired 30 min after the last interview as a huge 🚩🚩.
