Mines between 10-11%. So I dont know much, but I know it wouldnt hurt to spray some WD40 on that thing
I’m at 18% as of FY(5/1). For reference I’m with fidelity and put 20% into brokeragelink which allows me to choose stocks which have done well. The other 80% are your “normal” 401k funds. I am also 28 with higher risk portfolio at the moment.

20% Extended Market Index
My ytd is about 4%. Passive target date fund
How far away is retirement ?

I think it's considered an average year for financial analysts to be making 10-15% a year. If you're doing passive funds then less than 10 is expected.
Granted I'm new to the whole 401k thing so take it with a grain of salt.
You can’t make a judgement, what was your risk adjusted return? What is your risk profile? I’ve know 70 year olds with higher risk
Tolerances than 30 year olds.
You can do better. Averaging 30%+ on individual stocks and at lowest 8 percent in one fund
K1, M1, You both have strong returns. What is your general allocation? If you don’t mind me asking
S&P 500 YTD return is 9.05%. You should consider index funds
Considering the last year has been one of the hottest bull runs in recent history, 6% is way behind the market assuming you’re invested in domestic stocks. However, there are many other factors to consider. To start, how old are you? And what is your current asset mix?
