I’ve had a lot of death in life. Lost a dear friend to suicide at 22, my father at 27, my closest grandparent at 30. Others in between.
It’s been confirmed that someone I’ve known since I was born was is now the 3rd person in her family to be diagnosed w/ hereditary cerebral ataxia (no cure). Her mom and older sister already passed. Their whole family was an extended family growing up. She’s a month older, I don’t know what to say or do. I love her and I can’t bear the thought of another loss.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. Hi everyone, realizing my career may be incompatible with my needs at home (I have a school age child with special needs). Any moms/dads find any companies or jobs in the UX field that are part time? I am wondering if it’s possible to stay in this field or if I need to take a step back and figure out something new. What has worked for any of the working moms/dads out there. I started a new job recently and then had my PTSD seriously triggered, plus a panic attack. Felt so on edge and low on emotional resources for over a week that I wasn’t myself and apparently really rubbed a few people the wrong way so I was called in for a talking to 😣. I let people know there were some personal things going on, but didn’t mention the PTSD—very unsure if that’s something to share, or if I’d be judged for it or... I don’t even know. Has anyone else dealt with PTSD and had it impact them at work, and how did you handle it?

I’m not having harmful thoughts but I’m so sad and scared I wake up in the night crying. It makes me tired and I can barely focus. Ideas?
