KPMG healthcare strategy vs IQVIA strategy. Which one is more prestigious and would ah e better exit opportunities?

IQVIA is a great company but the consulting group is another story. Because it’s just a small part of the bigger company, focus on consulting is not always what it needs to be. KPMG advisory on the other hand would be more “consulting like” since that’s their sole focus. Also salaries at IQVIA consulting are pretty deplorable and turnover is high.

KPMG has a better brand recognition. IQVIA may have more expertise. If prestige and exit opportunities are important than content and industry expertise then KPMG.

Iqvia has more expertise in healthcare and has a very good brand name also.. stick to iqvia

Definitely consider culture. IQVIA is like 20 different companies operating in silos. Noncompetes are pretty stringent if you want to move to another consulting company. There are many levels to climb through. Often their tittles make it seem like you are getting a bump but that is not reflected in salaries.

Some of these are valid those. I agree with those siloes but I guess that changes in the future Salary bump is good, I always notice a 15 perc increment in the salary after title change, but may not be comparable to other consulting firms I guess

2nd year associate here (going into my third). Will have about 114k in student loan debt at the turn of the year. I have roughly 60k in my investment account, 45k in 401k and an adequate balance in my emergency fund. I also contribute to my HSA and will cross the threshold for investing that in January. During 0% on student loans i have been using every spare dine to pay that down. My question is should that continue or should I tone that back and start investing more? Cont’d in comments...

I wanted to flag so others can know, I live in mcol and I just received an offer for 120k base and a 15k signing bonus. I have three years of experience. Attempting to renter the workforce after a 2 year hiatus due to health issues followed by the pandemic. During this time off I had minor success running a small business, but not enough to pay the bills. I have 3 YOE, 1.5 as a Loan Officer, and 1.5 as a consultant within compliance and Fintech. Please let me know of any fully remote positions, or hybrid positions based out of Chicago or Milwaukee. I live in Dubuque IA, so for in office work it would have to be in Dubuque. TIA!

The pressure at work has increasingly led to a strain on my mental health. I have allowed myself one too many times to prioritize the needs of others (clients, PPMDs, etc.) before my own and the price is showing in my inability to highly perform like once before. I’m at the point of not caring about anything any longer, even if that means risking my job. I’m not sure the reason I’m posting this—perhaps I’m seeking guidance or maybe I just needed to vent. Sigh…
