Hey team! So I was laid off from my SDR position about a week ago. A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? I applied to other positions in the same company. What about reaching out to previous co workers at a different company? Not sure how to navigate this… please help. 6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

My partner (along with his team) has been laid off from an equity research role. He is on H1b visa and has until end of February to find a new job otherwise he’ll have to leave the country. I would be very grateful if someone knows of any sell-/buyside investment analyst opportunities and can refer, please. Years of experience: 9yrs. I was fired after I reported a partner for a serious (criminal) ethics violation. The firm covered it up. Are all companies like this in the end? I’ve lost my trust and don’t know how to start over.

Anyone dealt with age discrimination at work or thought they were fired because of it? I have a strong hunch I was let go because I'm older than most of the team and they're trying to get a "fresh perspective." To me it just sounds like they're firing anyone over 50.

DXC hired me for Indian client .My job profile on system admin. Work will be on Legacy Technology. Do I get chance to upgrade to cloud and shift to different Client

Most of the review on DXC is negative. How will be job security and work life balance. In most review I see "termination & layoffs." How is current situation in 2022

Hey guys I have offer from cisco system and checkpoint cyber security . Checkpoint is offering x+5 in base where as cisco is offering similar amount in joining bonus. Overall per year ctc is also differs by 3 lac (y+3) in checkpoint .

So considering recession and mass layoff which one will be right option to select in terms wlb, job security and future growth .

FYI : checkpoint is starting r&d division in India I will be first person to be hired for the same role.
