Graduation was from a great college, PG is from a old college which is currently for common parlance a T2 MBA college and has quite good number of alums at McKinsey Insights at good positions.

Got rejected by all of 5 of my schools. No interest in R2 now. Feel so dejected, and also unsure as to what I did wrong having been interviewed at each of those universities.

Does MBB accept applications where you don’t have an undergrad?

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

Does anyone feel that the Oil and Gas industry is the most discriminatory industry of all? They won’t even look at resume without O&G experience! It does not make sense to me as I would rather teach someone the specifics of an industry if they were a good fit. And for an industry that has so many obstacles from Government, Environmental Organizations and so on, why they are adding more bad publicity to themselves is not a great approach.

What's the difference between entry level and associate level? I'm two years into my career and thinking of making a jump to a different industry. Would that be considered associate since I have experience?

Hi folks, my base location as per EY GDS offer letter is Noida but I want it to be Gurgaon as my hometown is in Jaipur and Gurgaon is more convenient for me.. I sent email to my senior manager and got response that you can use flexibility and work in any Gds office in India. However, I feel that in case my base location is not being changed, I should shift to Noida rather than Gurgaon as there might be any formalities or facilities which we need to avail in our base location only.. I had recently joined a big software security company located in Bangalore (I'm working remotely from NCR till October). There is too much work, timing is normally more than 12 hrs, everyone including manager remain online till atleast 11pm. Sometime he pings too.

My last working day, Joining Date of new job is coming soon 10 to 15 days. I have recieved coding assessment from another product based company. I would like to join this company If I can clear all rounds, I know Interview process will take minimum 30 to 40 days.
