Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte
Unfortunately, Many are getting impacted by today's layoffs across the organisations and it is super hard to cope up mentally and financially. I came across few openings related to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) consultants, experience ranging 4-12 Yrs. Please reach out to Teja Chandrashekar (teja@vdigitise.com), Phone: 7672030466. Hope this can help some of you to get back onto the feet. Kindly like, comment or share for better reach. Thanks much!! #experience #share #help #consultants

Yes. I actually sat on the side of the bed with her and asked her why she didn't want to go asleep. At least in my case, she was scared of the monsters. So I told her that I have a secret talent to eat monsters in a single bite, but I can't see them, so I need her to point them out. She'd giggle and point yelling there! Now over there! And I'd dart around her room taking big exaggerated bites and going mmh. It took a few minutes, but she'd be fast asleep just a few more minutes later.
Good luck, and don't forget to have fun being a dad!
Shorten nap. We had to limit it to 90 min with both kids by 3
Read books. Give a choice: do you want to read two books and go to sleep or do you want to go to sleep now?
P1 - that’s a great story, ok I’ll maybe try that!
Contracting works- don’t let them get out of scope. Treat clients even more strictly!
We let them nap as long as they want, as long as they are awake at least 5 hours before bedtime.
Some experimentation is needed to figure out naps and the impact on sleep. Get up by X. Don't nap longer than Y. Etc. Good point BCG1.
The way bedtime is going now, we should drop nap for 4.5 year old. Not ready to give up that productive hour midday though. We do frequently skip if we’re running around on weekends though
