My line manager refused my annual leave to take care of my sick father. I have kept him in the loop regarding the treatments my father is going through just incase I need to take some time off which I would use my annual leave for and prep my teams ahead of time so everything within the business is covered and running smoothly before I take the time required away from the business. I’m really struggling to find a reasonable solution to this. Would it be advisable to speak to HR about this

So, recently got put on a PIP after six months at my new job., two days after I told my boss and HR I recently learned I have a cognitive disability caused by an illness. The PIP was mostly because I forgot some deadlines, but also they said I need to be more professional in emails (even though others use zero punctuation and a lot of emojis. To clients.) and simultaneously ask more questions and ask fewer questions. Should I just assume this is unattainable and look for a new job again?

People that have small children - how do you deal with your child’s stress and separation anxiety when you go to work? Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.
