PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

Your manager is breaking the law. Do you live in Canada? If you are a citizen of the United States of America, there is a law on the books regarding the FMLA, or the Family Medical Leave Act. This law guarantees you time off from work to care for or spend time with family members who are sick or dying, and if your boss tries to retaliate against you, by terminating your employment, or cuts your hours, or any other types of negative consequences you can bring legal protections against him/her, the company, the owners of the company, and you will win.
I used FMLA personally for my sick father too. You’re protected under that! You can’t loose your job but would have to exhaust any PTO you have. Then you wouldn’t get paid if it’s an extended period of time. But your job would be secure. This is based off my personal experience. Just need documentation from Dr.’s

Second on fmla or at least looking into it to see if you are protected under it and can file. If you do all the necessary work to make sure business is good, I don’t see the big stink. And family is more important regardless anyways

I would definitely speak to HR
Apply for FMLA and take it up with HR. From my understanding is that they cannot deny you
