My line manager refused my annual leave to take care of my sick father. I have kept him in the loop regarding the treatments my father is going through just incase I need to take some time off which I would use my annual leave for and prep my teams ahead of time so everything within the business is covered and running smoothly before I take the time required away from the business. I’m really struggling to find a reasonable solution to this. Would it be advisable to speak to HR about this

My dad who lives in Asia just announced that he had a medical issue. I’m starting to enter the age where I’m going to take care of him financially. I was supportive of Lori when this virus first started but her actions since have dwindled my support of her. I don’t expect her to make every decision correct nor do we have to agree with all of them. I believe she should be correct around 75 percent of the time but I believe she is in the 50 percent range.
