My PO consistently dismisses user-raised concerns with “well that’s not a problem for me”. How can I get him to prioritize (or rather, not ignore) user issues that don’t bother or happen to affect him personally?

Does he have a performance plan? You could make it a metric that his performance/bonus is based on. If having a conversation with him isn’t working. Also that’s very odd that he ignores user issues when that’s one of the things a PO is responsible for.

There’s your problem. He’s a BA with a PO title. Not to say BAs are incompetent or irresponsible, far from it… there are brilliant BAs in my company I love working with and learning from - but this dude is not very good at PO - ing and I wonder why someone from biz was fitted for this role .

Seems extremely irresponsible since that should be potentially a main concern of his. I agree with PO1, making it a metric may make him feel like it affects him more and force his interest.

For real? They talk and answer like that? That must be rather difficult to deal with. Are you both peers or does he report to you? Maybe a manager can have a conversation about how unprofessional his attitude sounds.

Peers - I’m in the tech org and he’s in the line of business. Unfortunately, his manager seems even less interested in the product, so unlikely to get support there

Fire them!

⚠️Toxicity Alert ⚠️

My previous manager would track us by hours daily, made a fuss everytime anything stretched and guilt us for that and the unplanned leave too unless it was COVID. Hinted him a lot of time, this is problematic but apparently he considered it "standard practice for agile".

Now 8/10 teammates have switched within < 1 year of project start (6-7 months with him) which tbh had good work in our opinion and even team was fun to work with even though none of us ever met in person.

Hooked up with a manager form different line of service and now I came to know he is joining my team.

Have you ever accidentally insulted your boss, pretty hard core, in a meeting? What I do? It was a total foot in mouth, but it was a huge meeting. I feel like if I avoid an apology it might actually be better for me so that we can pretend I didn't realize it was insulting and was just harmlessly talking...

Hello, I have a question that needs your inputs how to handle. I am working with a post-MBA Associate on a project and this person seems to do extra work beyond what the team is asking the rest of us to do. I think during our conversations with the leadership, there were a couple of points that were brought up by the MD but that was not a concrete directive that we need to do because if it is, I would know about it from the chain email since I am staffed to the project.

Have you seen women wear ties and "masculine"-looking suits to work? Was it accepted by client and team? I've never worn a tie to work, but when I've worn clothing that had a more "masculine" fit either in grad school or some work environments, I've gotten comments and looks, or sometimes asked (or people gossiped) about my orientation. When I wear more "feminine"-looking clothing, I feel more more uncomfortable and awkward. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m looking for some resources and/or recruiters to help me find a job in Houston. I worked in Big 4 audit for a year and 4 months. I am currently working in global finance/accounting for a major record label. I would like a financial analyst, staff accountant, or an internal audit position (ordered in preference from most wanted to least). I have also considered joining Big 4 again but only if it is an advisory position like FDD or deals. Thank you in advance!

I started a position a month and a half ago at a large holding company. My manager left after 2 weeks of training me, and his replacement is likely going to be another senior accountant. I am so lost and don’t have the guidance I had signed up for. Is it bad to ask for an internal transfer to one of the brands instead?
