About to head to the HC for a role in ProdOps and Strategy in Mountain View. 4 YoE at MBB, no competing offers. Recruiter gave me a form that asks expected comp.
Levels.fyi has only PM salaries. I haven’t been told the level but expect it to be L4.
What total comp would you expect for this role? Any advice would be super helpful, as I’m a bit lost.

You’re gonna do great youngin! It’s actually good if you’re anxious at this point. Shows that you care. I was the only minority in my group before I left for a different one. Happy that it was my choice and not due to the lack the inclusion, though that did help make my decision after 2 years. Here’s some insight..
Be present at all the events your first year (within reason ofc and that doesn’t mean you have to stay till the end). First off, it shows ppl you care, even if you’re not great at being one of the bros initially (which shouldn’t be the ultimate goal btw). Secondly, you’ll learn how to manage yourself quickly the more reps you get in upfront. Also ppl will cut you slack if you’re the baby of the group. You don’t wanna look rough at these interactions by getting one upped by younger associates in later years, that will demotivate you from coming to these events even more later on - I’ve seen this first hand. Ideally you’ll lead other introvert youngins and set unspoken rules of engagement for extrovert youngins after you. Get the your training wheels off the first year but understand you won’t ever stop learning.
Will you get a promotion solely on the basis of these interactions? Unfortunately as a minority woman that will definitely not happen. You’l will however get promoted for the quality of your delivery, the experience you give your superiors (They must trust you to get the job done better than themselves) and the width of your network and brand.
Being intentional about how you build trust quickly at the onset of your career is where your mind needs to be, so kudos for being ahead of the curve.
Feel free to DM me, I have a lil network of minority youngins you can tap into for a support :)
Those happy hours, team dinners, and late night outings is actually networking in disguise. Go to them.
Although those social events can be super uncomfortable, make an effort to go to some of them. If you want to progress in your career, it helps if leadership knows who you are and what you do. In fact, you should have a short this is who I am and this is what I do speech prepared. Like PWC1 said, be confident. You got this!
be confident
Just know that it is a muscle you will need to exercise and grow. There will be growing pains and mistakes made, but just know that if you keep at socializing some, learning about your teammates, and contributing to projects, it gets better.
Honestly... be yourself and try not to feel to much pressure to be or act like others. You don’t have to go to every social event or get lunch with the team every day. Don’t feel the need to make up excuses either - the sooner you make peace with it the easier it is.
FWIW I joined feeing exactly like you and have performed well and progressed quickly. Be known for your substance and the value you can deliver. The rest will sort itself out.
I’m super introverted, minority woman and will be entering a group of mostly bro-y men. They seem nice but I really want to connect with people (in my team and with clients). I’ve failed with connecting with anyone personally and with networking at previous internships and I just don’t want to fail again. Thank you for your help guys :)
I didn’t have the guts to get into consulting when I was younger. I wouldn’t recommend my younger self going into consulting. I would be crushed as I was not ready.
That's quite discouraging when OP is explicitly asking for tips to succeed.
My tip would be to learn and trust yourself. Being good at what you do will make it easier to be confident with your team mates.
