I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Can you shut the person down without starting a spat?

I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. I’m extra worried because it doesn’t seem there’s IB analyst positions out there. Im really hoping come January more positions come up but I’m just praying they don’t fire me until then. Context: first baby, high risk pregnancy (blood pressure), in northern Dallas suburbs but delivering in Dallas proper; strongly prefer a doctor of the diaspora (my OB is black; we want our son to see black excellence all around), but those in the suburbs tend not to have rights in hospitals in Dallas proper

Any of the sisters deal with gestational diabetes but already had a restrictive diet pre and during pregnancy?
Doctor says I have it, but I honestly don’t believe them. I don’t eat cane sugar (not even in sauces), gluten, dairy, or soy. So not surprised I couldn’t process their drink-I don’t consume stuff like that regularly. I walk a mile or do HIIT training 5x/ week. The condition doesn’t run in my family (and my mom has 4 sisters w/kids-good sample size) (cont’d in comments)

My 5 year old son demanded a haircut because he doesnt like his curly hair. Its too curly. He wants hair thats like Fletcher's. (Fletcher is his white friend from day care). My son and his sister are the only blacks at the day care. I dont know how to broach the subject with him.
