Rising Star
Its low credit score because of not having credit. No big deal.
Start with Capitol One or Discover- both are good darting cards and give somebenefits.
Use it and pay in full every month and in six months you will see increase in score.
Yeah start with a student one. Not sure if it will let you anymore
Try a pre-approval tool so you don’t get dinged on your credit report for hard inquiries! Here’s the Capital One one—they were my first card back in college: https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/preapprove/
Apple Card and Discover also have decent preapproval engines. Chase is pretty strict IMO, especially when it comes to not having credit history.
If you have a primary banking relationship with BoA and have direct deposit there, banking history, etc., they may approve you for a credit card.
If your parents have longstanding, good credit history, get them to add you as an authorized user on their oldest card—also helps if it has a high credit line and they don’t use it much!
Yeah stop applying to cards you’re not going to get approved for its going to hurt your credit more
Why is credit so bad? Maybe start with a prepaid card. You can go to a site like capital one and see what card you can get for your credit score. Probably can at chase also
Start with a chase freedom or a credit card that is associated with your checking account. Definitely don’t go for one of the primo cards. Also, just google ways to improve credit there are very specific methods for helping it get better
Discover it secured card. Once you “graduate” to a standard card, you can switch to the one with 5% rotating categories. This was my first card and I still use it
use Credit Karma and they will recommend cards you can actually get approved for, among other sensible guidance
Definitely discover
