Possibly considering a lateral move and looking for recommendations/past experiences working with recruiters/recruiting firms for a mid-level associate (litigation) in the DFW market. What should I be on the lookout for when choosing a recruiter to work with? I have received various e-mails and LinkedIn messages from recruiters over the years, but not sure how to separate the wheat from the chaff.

The recruiter I worked with had tons of good reviews on instagram.

like

I lateraled as a 5/6th year lit associate in DFW recently and really liked the recruiter I worked with. She listened to what I was looking for and was proactive in finding positions that seemed a good fit based on that. She also took time to talk through interview prep and offer options (pros/cons and other alternatives). DM me and I'm happy to share her name.

Hi folks, need guidance. Skill - . Net + azure and YOE - 4.

After two tech round received email for documents. HR said that she will discuss regarding my expected offer with the team after receiving documents from my side which I sent yesterday.
Today evening I got technical interview assigned mail with meeting invitation for today afternoon itself. It is very confusing to me.

Are they trying to take my one more round of interview? I was hoping to get offer after sending documents.

I’m curious - let’s say you have a role to fill but they are targeting only female candidates to balance out the team. What recruiting strategies can i implement to meet those needs?

Quick question.
I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?

Has anyone ever hired an APM for a PM role or done it yourself? Any tips? Advice?

I work at a ‘free market’ firm and have developed a very good reputation among partners. Naturally, they are drowning me in work. Each time a new case comes up, the partner will email asking if I have “time and interest” in helping. When I’m at capacity, I take these words at face value and explain why I can’t do it, and that seems to work out ok with no hard feelings. But what’s the “interest” thing? If I don’t want to work on a toxic tort case, do I just say that and pass?
