I made a pivot after 8 years in healthcare admin/middle management to HR….now that I made the pivot I already want to make another change. The question is, to what! Any insight on avenues? The majority of my skills rest in employee engagement, clinical operations, all things admin, leadership etc. Have you used a career coach? Casting a wide net here so any feedback, suggestions are appreciated. Im in my mid 30s, and am hoping to find my spark once again. Thank you!!

There’s parental leave which is 8 weeks paid and can be taken within a year of the event. You don’t have to be at the firm for a year. You also have FMLA you can take (12 wks which can be paired with PTO /Sick time. As FMLA is unpaid. FMLA is only if you been with firm for 1 year). If spouse / partner is birthing the child they get additional time through disability benefits (6 or 8 additional weeks depending on delivery type)
Here’s the job protection portion
3 months
Also don’t you have to take it all at once you can split it up however you want to take the 8 week (40 days) as long as it’s within a year.
