PwC - what is the paternity leave policy? Do you need to be with the firm for a year before you can avail it?

There’s parental leave which is 8 weeks paid and can be taken within a year of the event. You don’t have to be at the firm for a year.

You also have FMLA you can take (12 wks which can be paired with PTO /Sick time. As FMLA is unpaid. FMLA is only if you been with firm for 1 year).

If spouse / partner is birthing the child they get additional time through disability benefits (6 or 8 additional weeks depending on delivery type)

Also don’t you have to take it all at once you can split it up however you want to take the 8 week (40 days) as long as it’s within a year.

I work in a sucky IBM cic, making $54k. It’s a full time job with regular benefits and vacation etc, it’s working with government clients. The job isn’t what I applied for & constantly changes. I don’t like that, but I’m a full time employee which is “stable employment”. Btw, I’m in the DC area.

I just got hired for a government contract through Accenture for a Business Analyst role. Pay is $65 per hour. 3 year contract. Benefits too. No PTO. Holidays off with pay, after 90 days.

Thoughts?
