Why asking
I would push them to make the offer increase to 120K and setter in between if needed. Regardless of how much you end up with, I will take offer assuming you are not happy for one reason or another because you applied and went for an interview.
I would question as to why your are looking ? Also think that you are going to be a smaller fish in a Very large ocean.
DC is where the National tax practice sits. Will def be a good opportunity but agree.. you should prepare to be small fish in a big ocean
Why did you apply if you weren’t interested in switching?
I would look into industry. Sounds like you are concerned with pay and you might get a better offer.
Borrowing a common audit term, it depends. Lots of factors here (current vs expected work life balance, path to partner and desire to achieve it, etc.).
Take it especially if you’re a first year or second year manager.
That sounds super low for a manager
At KPMG, first year managers are anywhere from $95k-115k, depending if organic or lateral.
