Relocating to Philadelphia for my partner’s job and it’s seemed like the pickings are slim to none for the last few months. A few healthcare/pharma agencies hiring but I can’t find anything else, not even in house or client side. Would love to leave agency life behind but I can’t find anything at all, am I crazy?

Been in sales for 7 years (door to door,telecom,BDR,) I interviewed for a closing position and after submitting a demo presentation and 2 mock emails they have moved be forward for the last “wrap up call”. Any tips and advice for this?

I just got laid off from my job as a gov contractor because the project I was working on ended. Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?
