What is first year partner compensation?
Hi Fishes, I have an interview with PwC AC in the coming week. My tech stack is Power BI, SQL, SSRS,SSIS and Tableau. YEO -4 Current CTC is 9 LPA. During the initial call with the recruiter he asked for ny expected CTC and I asked for 17 LPA. Can anyone from PwC comment on this? Is this too much to ask or is this what someone at my current level would get paid at PwC. Please let me know!!!! PwC PwC India Pwc AC Deloitte Deloitte USI
I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.
Any Advice?
Joined Cibersites India Bangalore in Jan 2021 which is now htc global. There was no CTC revision with March 2022 salary, and so far, no news of CTC revision. I know employees working for over 24 months with no CTC revision. My question is are the appraisal formalities mere formalities? I'm unhappy about the pay structure. For a 65k PM CTC, I hardly get 52k in hand. With rising inflation, and no salary revisions, it's just going to be difficult. Tenured employees, please advise. 😥

Simple actually, have a working spouse who makes the same as you. Situation solved.

In the same boat as you OP. Idk how people in public manage to live on these low salaries. Need to find a few roomates I guess
Try Queens - Kew Gardens and Forest Hills are great areas and much more affordable than Manhattan. Also decent commute via subway or LIRR. I don't know a lot of people who can afford NYC without roommates, tiny space, and 5 flights of stairs... Still best place ever though! Good luck 👍
Astoria! Great place to live (good food and beer gardens) and you can get a relatively big place that won’t kill your wallet. Very easy commute to manhattan. I loved living there because it’s still the city but a little less busy and I felt like I had some separation from work. Best of luck to you!
Didn’t know New York people were this nice
Of course we are nice.... but here is some good advice. Do not admit to being Cowboys or Patriots fans, don't make eye contact with anyone on the subway, but most importantly do not under any circumstances use a knife and fork to eat your pizza - we fold here! 😜😂👍 seriously don't believe what you see in movies, there are a lot of great people here, we have Broadway, museums, every kind of food you can imagine and so much more! You're gonna love it! Totally not kidding about the pizza though..... fold!!!
Brooklyn
Oh forgot to reply, Hoboken or Jersey City.
You can find something more affordable in NJ or the other boroughs. Manhattan is unaffordable if you want to live alone or save money .
I was in Jersey City; Manhattan prices but larger homes. Jersey City is big and you can find homes with varying rents. West NY in NJ, Astoria, and Queens are pretty affordable but don't have the Manhattan vibe. Depends on whats important to you - rent expense vs savings..
West village
I have 3 roommates. It’s a decent sized place too. It’s a really weird layout but it’s 4 stories total. 1565 a month
Y’all are great. Thanks for the advice!
Jackson Heights, Queens. Easy commute to office
Damn EY3 how you afford West Village on a senior salary
Upper west side, with two roommates. At least it’s not a walk up I guess
