Should I be ashamed for not having moved out yet at 25 years old?

AD3, where were your parents though? I couldn’t move back because it’s all small market agencies
I’m 30 and moving back home. While it’s a separate house — grandparents old house — I’m on the same property with my family. It’s easier, cheaper, and smarter than signing onto a lease or buying a home for me at this point. Plus it will give you greater flexibility should something drastic change in your professional or personal life. If you can work remotely, hedge your bets and...
IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE, READ THIS:
Try to enjoy your time with your parents. They will be gone before you know it. So do some of your favorite shared activities together, don’t sweat when they treat you like their child — you are, and smile. Your time spent there can be a huge blessing — if you let it.
31 with kids and a wife here. Moved in with my parents this month.
We rented out our house but as Corona flared up again the last month or so we decided not to proceed with our next hosting option until things settle. We also didn't want to reneg on our tenants.
So, we're going to enjoy the Grandma/ Grandpa time and I'll try not to get too annoyed by the little things. Also, my wife is a saint.

I’m living with my parents right now at an older age than you. Life happens. Be grateful for the cushion as it won’t be there forever.
Smart move. Live with them as long as you can.
Not at all. We boomeranged twice around that age.

I’m 38 and make significantly more than both of my parents combined. If it wasn’t for my puppy, I would have moved back home - partly to save $$ and partly to help them out.
Similar situation where I’ve moved back in with my parents and I’m around that age. Depends on where your anxiety stems from as I am wondering when I’ll move as well but honestly in uncertain times it’s not the time to make certain decisions (ie a 12 month lease) if you can
Interdependent family structures for white America is the new,new folks. Get w the times.
I dunno, I would never think about it until I actually lost a job. Anxiety does not equate to job loss and housing issues. Build a 6 month emergency fund, much of your stress will be alleviated without putting financial pressure on someone else (your parents utilities, groceries, privacy). Hopefully you are at least paying them an honest rent. My parents worked very hard for the modest and truly middle class life they have. Moving in while making a decent white collar wage with significant career potential just would feel like taking advantage to me. Your 25, you aren't supposed to feel financially secure yet, there is a lot of development left.
No, I feel pretty anxiousness and uncertainty too. #StaySafe
I also live at home and am wondering how does it affect your love life? Do you still have men/women over? I am super close with my family but feel like it would intimidate the other person if I brought them to meet my entire family

Living at home the past few months definitely affected my relationship, since they’re not crazy about him. Moving back to my studio is finally giving us some space. Our 2020 goal was to spend more time together...
No. Don’t be ashamed. Reframe it in your head.
Make it an opportunity to be independent and contribute to the cause (food, gas, internet, netflix etc) despite living with your parents. Help them out with stuff if you can.
Make it an opportunity to save money (actually save do NOT view it as an opportunity where you can afford to spend a little more).
The only opinion that should matter is yours. Who cares what others think... if that’s how you feel then that’s how you feel. It’s not like you’re hurting someone in the process.
No shame in it!
Nope.
No, I’m jealous of you. My parents have no internet - the only reason why I can’t move back - and I would love to 😭 especially during Covid
Hell no!!!!! You are blessed to have parents who can still provide you a place to live if you need/want. Go live with the parents for a few months, save $$ and plan for the non-Covid future (which FEELS like it may be years away - ahhhh!)

I’m 24 and wish I lived with my parents right now to save $1500~ a month....
No
Hell no. No one should be ashamed for making changes right now, there's a lot of uncertainty out there. If you can save up some money staying at home that's really valuable.
You shouldn’t be ashamed at all. The only question is whether you can handle it, which is more a question of your relationship with them. But there’s nothing wrong with it, especially during this time of crisis.
I would live with my parents if they didn't live in the middle of BFN. No shame!
