Hello Deloitte 🐠 20 YOE. Have referral for a content and marketing M role in cybersecurity -- the focus of my career pivot. Submitted my application today, but my referrer isn't in Cyber. Interested to widen my Deloitte Cyber network to get my resume in front of a human, since ATS has no vision or imagination. If you're willing to connect, please DM. So far, made it several interview rounds into roles with EY and Accenture. Optimistic, but want to be as proactive as possible. Thanks!

Yes. Don’t mean to look down on your accomplishment, an MS is definitely a good credential. But honestly, I’ve seen many ppl that just have cyber certs with a BS that still make it as far as someone with an MS. So yes, get the CISSP. It’ll help more than an MS will in your career progression, IMO.
Yes
CISSP is not that difficult and a huge HR checkbox for getting through first phases of recruitment processes
For some it is. There is a lot of material to cover. Definitely worth pursuing if you want to step up your cybersecurity game.
I have a strong technical background with a long history of security engineering roles. After much consideration I decided to take the CISM instead and quite frankly loved studying the material for it. It really takes you in-depth into the way that the technology melds with the business. It gave me new perspectives on the ways I should position my points of view or paths to consider when exploring a business risk, and also helped stitch together learnings from old epiphanies to build a holistic picture in my head. This was ultimately the path I wanted to move towards so I’m glad for the decision I took.
I have a CISM as well and I think it just a much easier exam than the CISSP.
Yes, should be a lot easier for you to pass the test too
Definitely if you have a technical role.
