Meta technical solutions consultant interview prep - can someone let me know if they have gone through the technical rounds for Technical Solutions Consultant role? Can you share what to prepare for since it’s not a data science type of role so most likely not hard level MySQL questions. Any specific types of queries that I should learn? Thanks!

Spending time with your kids > Spending money on your kids. Option 1.

Find a better option 3 that gives you both

Agree with above. I don’t have kids but for me, I would take WLB over a pay increase (although 50% bump is quite enticing).

Also a parent with young kids. #1 every day and twice on Sunday.
If you were making, say, $120k now, it'd be harder decision to make, but $210k is nothing to sneeze at.

Op 3: refer your boss to consulting ? I think you can send his / her CV anonymously to consulting firms
The big question for me would be how much travel is required in Op 2, and how much you can set your own travel schedule to plan around your family commitments.
Big difference in WLB between travel that is a few days a month, that you have some discretion to plan, vs. an expectation that you are flying Monday to Thursday regularly.
I have found a reasonable balance with two young kids and do a lot of short trips and day trips. But that wouldn’t be possible without a leadership team and client leads that are supportive.
Find an option 3 or 1. Kids that engage with their patents are more likely to want to be around them in old age. Jobs come a go. Money won't make you not lonely.

Have young children, wfh, bout the same comp. It would take A LOT for me to trade this situation. But, my manager is fine.
Unless you are coming in as a partner or to a strategy firm as a senior director, 100% rise from 210k in consulting is a bit far fetched…
A&M?
I am currently in a high WLB WFH role with ok comp after many years chasing money with the stress and long hours that go with it. My relationship with my wife has improved, I get to spend a ton more time with our 6-yeay old, and my general health has improved. Stress at work is very specific situation related, and non-existent most days. It's a strange feeling being so calm and relaxed.
That said, I would have to think long and hard before accepting a new role that would trade any of it for higher comp, and it would most definitely need to be a significant bump before I'd even entertain the thought.

Option #3 get your bosses LinkedIn in pdf form and start applying HIM to jobs so his DMs start getting filled.
210 is on ok comp?
Obviously subjective and dependent on each persons situation. But it is on the tighter side for me. 3 kids, each go to private school (not negotiable), single income household and I need to buy a home large enough where my parents can stay with me for half the year also. That is very tough on 210 HHI.
