I’m a guy and don’t really have anything to add but I felt really moved by all the responses and just wanted to give a shout-out to everyone up above me 👏🏻
Time, sister. Your hormones will even out in a few weeks, just hang in there
OP - Take care of yourself; you are doing one of the most amazing things we humans can do.
For my the biggest thing was making sure you get enough rest. Use your lunch break for naps :) staying hydrated and always have cracker or rice cakes on you. Warm water w lemon and honey helped too xo
The first trimester is the absolute worst for fatigue. I would get home from work and crash on the couch and not wake up until morning. My husband finally learned to just let me be. I wish I had more advice, but I didn’t find anything that helped. You’re growing a person. It takes a lot out of you!
One day at a time! You will feel better, just listen to your body, take a sick day when you need, and know that it won’t last forever!
Lots of sleep and rest! Your body is making a baby! Be glad that it’s not busy season (yet). You’ll feel better 2nd trimester.
Similar to above I’m a guy so obviously have limited perspective but I do have 3 kids and my additional advice would be to offload any non essential responsibilities to others and ask for help. Doesn’t need to be work related either. During my wife’s pregnancies I tried to make sure anything that I could do to make her day easier so she didn’t have to worry about it after work was done (e.g. groceries, cooking, picking up other kids from child care, other house items, etc.)
This is normal and I’m sorry to say but you just have to wait it out. Usually by the end of the first trimester it will get a lot better then you will be hungry ALL THE TIME. Watch out for the last trimester. Then you are hungry and tired the most
I was lucky and didn’t have morning sickness but two of my friends swore by Preggie Pops for theirs
What else can I do for fatigue and spaciness ? I also take B6
The first trimester was the worst. I’d take a nap during the day in the wellness room otherwise I never would make it to the end of the day. Sea bands were also helpful. Otherwise, like others said, it’ll go away in time. It took my until nearly 14 weeks for the nausea to go away, but each week after week 9-10 seemed to get easier. Good luck!
I don't want to tell anyone at work yet. I go to my first dr appointment Thursday. I'm hoping the nausea really does peak at week nine and I can feel better soon after. Thanks everyone
