It’s not end of the world, you have your whole life ahead of you. Make a list of the things you wanted to do. HIV is more less like diabetes if it can be modified with medication, see this as an opportunity to develop good healthy life habits, get into exercise and eat healthy. Stay strong 💪

So sorry to hear that.
If it is ok, may I ask if you weren’t using prep?
Stay strong.
Wishing you the best!

Hugs
I know probably not an appropriate question to ask now, but how do you think you got it? Sending a hug either way. Chin up
HIV doesn't discriminate, someone can be safe their whole life and an accident happens, or people can be high risk and just be lucky.
I used to think that if someone tested positive, they would be shamed and disappear from polite society, like Fantine in Les Miserables.
Now, it's like any other health condition that requires daily maintenance, we're even getting close to a vaccine.
It also requires honesty; with yourself and with sex partners. Don’t mean to sound judgmental and all. Like others here, you have a long life ahead of you. Eat well, find a good infectious disease doctor, and go on with your life and enjoy it. Hell, I have clients who were diagnosed 40 years ago and they’re still here.
Hugs and karma…
