Always meet the other agency. The contacts and familiarity are worthwhile. When they ask if you’re talking to anyone else, say that you’re really close to moving to another agency but you’ve always been intrigued by these guys/love the work they’re doing/think the cd is so smart.
If they like you, they’ll want to stay in touch or make you a killer offer right away. Either way, you’ve made a valuable connection.
I’m glad my centuries in the business are paying off. I hope you get whichever job you want.
You should go with the offer you verbally accepted. BUT you should make sure the package is really really good. We are up for massive inflation. So whatever salary you negotiated needs to feel like 15% more of what you had in mind as a target a few months ago. Unless you negotiate for it to be adjusted 6 months from now based on inflation? I know it feels you’re a position of strength now - and you are. But remember agencies and clients are cutting across the board and pursuing another option could take weeks where open positions will disappear. So in short. Tell the first head hunter you had an alternative offer, that you feel committed to this one but Try to sweeten the deal you have ($, benefits, car, PTO, whatever is helpful) but don’t walk out of it. Also depends on how hard you negotiated the terms so far. If you already got more Thant they offered in the first place be a bit less agressive. If you didn’t get them to raise their first offer go for it now! Good luck.

Have both offers before deciding. If one is better use it as leverage.
I’d not tell them. As said above “soulless”. as quickly as they extend an offer to you, if you say you are waiting for another, they can as quickly rescind it.
Just like you verbally agreed but then might not take. It works both ways.
Two offers are better than one.
