Social worker here with a bachelor's degree. Just wanted to see what's the average pay for BSW in CA? I'm making 24/hr, at a mental health county contracted full service program for transitional age youth. This job is very demanding & I'm burnt out after a year. I'm barely living with this income. I do have plans to go back to get my MSW in 2 yrs. Just curious of some other industries/agencies I can look into that pay more because I've been looking around my area & most places pay less. I accepted a 95k systems engineer role in VA with KBR and is currently going thru a clearance.(MAY START DATE)
Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. They also want to give me a clearance but it will start as an interim so I can work sooner than may. I love what I do and I have an offer to stay in International Development and be a manager with 86k, focusing on my technical area + lots of travel. But I also have offers from Deloitte and EY to be a GPS consultant at ~100k. Is it worth it to move to D or EY?
