Has anyone ever left finance (or know someone that has) to do something completely different? My experience is split between FP&A and accounting and while I have progressed, I am becoming depressed b/c I feel like I’m in the wrong field. I am generally a motivated, high performing person, but I al starting to slip up and care less, b/c my work is not satisfying to me. I wish someone would create a book entirely on copywriting or art direction daily exercises that train us juniors or students to get better since creativity is a muscle. Sure, hey Whipple or the ad concept book do have some exercises, but I want more exercises that are bit more structured.

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me.
