Thinking of making a switch. How much should I ask for when interviewing for a GPS Advisory Manager I position?

Where would you be interviewing? Deloitte, EY and GT are the only companies that have “GPS” or are you just saying a fed advisory practice (include guidehouse, kpmg, etc).

I received two offers of $30k+ more (post-negotiations) when I was looking to leave EY - but I was underpaid drastically

*not including signing bonuses

I’m looking to interview with Deloitte

I know first year managers at EY making 95k and I know first year managers at Guidehouse and Deloitte making 150k... its really what you believe your worth. Anywhere in this range (shoot on the high end) is reasonable if you’re able to show your value.

Any manager making 95 is a sucker.

EY1 agree, but it happens.

I dunno. 150K seems a little high. Was thinking of asking for 130K with Deloitte

I know guidehouse is paying it.... But going somewhere for a little less with more structure right now isn’t a bad call. Ask for 140 and work your way down in negotiations.

140 as a starting ask isn’t bad... expect to end up around 120-130

Of course I make 117 as a senior, so what do I know

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls

I’ve never asked for one before and normally would never think of asking for one until at least 12 months but in the last couple of months my role and responsibilities have enhanced significantly.
