If you are in audit then don't you have to let your team know as soon as you even begin to discuss potential employment?
Yeah, are you in audit and is the company public? That could have an impact
They probably still have the connections within. I would start there and see.
One of those- hey, saw this position, do you know anything about it or can you connect me with someone who does. A light easy email.
Independence issue and grounds for firing snd a fine
Not always for IA folk!
I would reach out to whomever did it two years ago and ask, then go from there.
They are in a different group now
Doesn't hurt to ask anyway, i.e. hey whatever happened to that position in group A and why did you change to group B and how is everything going in both groups? You might be able to get an inside scoop on how group A has been doing in the past 2 years, and perhaps there's availability in group B where this contact is now. Or maybe your contact knows of available positions in group C.
I’m not in Audit, I do IA work for them. But I have good relationships with lots of people in the group.
Even not being in audit you might have firm policy considerations.
