TLDR; How's BNY Mellon. One can join or not?


My friend is getting offer from BNY Mellon for full stack role.
Anyone give feedback of this company.

He's getting the technology he wanted. But He is confused that few years back this Company made layoffs and called as hire and fire company in glassdoor.

Can someone who worked or knows about this company help us with it.

How's the Work culture and growth opportunities there?

I am considering an offer for an AE role (UK-LDN) where the base is £42k & OTE is £70k. The Regional GM has verbally promised to move it up to £50k base if I perform well during the probationary period, but I can’t have it in writing on the contract. I’ve tried to counter offer but they said I’m currently maxing the salary band (L4). This role is exciting as I’d be the first UK employee, doing the full sales cycle & more but I had the same base and ote as an SDR. Is it too low? Do I take it?

Is a 110k salary fair for UX Designer in a f-500 organization with the following responsibilities:

Wear many hats in UX, for 7 separate digital products
Flows/Logical solutions for the business
Manage entire design system for the 7 products
Do UI design for the 7 products
Provide spec work for dev teams for each product
Random graphic design requests
Lead a team of 3 designers
Do manager role to organize the work under agile design sprints with Jira boards (daily scrum, refinement, grooming)

If you had $5k to spend on courses or professional development, where would you spend it to maximize ROI in terms of PM career trajectory or building useful skills?

I'm curious to hear answers in general, but can provide more specifics about my current role/skills/aspirations if needed.

1) internship experience -> can it be counted as YOE?

2) Startup I founded (actual startup, but it was done during my uni days)

Follow up post to my last post…My husband was laid off from the company where I also work. I am feeling really isolated / depressed about working and moving forward. I’m also getting to a stage where I’m really sad that people haven’t reached out to either my husband or myself to send well wishes or provide support. It’s like they don’t know what to say or I make them feel awkward so they don’t bother…I’m trying to focus on a few that have been supportive but it’s hard…Any words of advice? 😞

Any tips on studying for BCPS without residency, just several years of hospital experience?
