Have an acquaintance who is a single mom; she purchased a used car 3 mos ago. Six wks later her 17yo wrecked it, air bags deployed, and estimates have ranged between $10-$18k in needed repairs while $21k is still owed. Acquaintance was switching insurance policies and flubbed the coverage dates and there were a few days where the vehicle was uninsured. No GAP insurance. Hi fishes, my friend recently had a bitter experience with Dish Network. So her profile was shortlisted and they asked few questions over email. It did take good 2hrs to answer and she replied back. HM said we are good to go for interview and sent an invite. On the day of interview nobody turned up, neither they gave an update later. She did follow up for a couple of days but no response. Is there any reason why this happens ? Me being in HR field felt this to be a little unprofessional.

A question for recruiters with knowledge of Applicant Track Systems (ATS). Do products like Greenhouse show if an applicant has applied at other companies? I imagine not, as it would be a massive privacy violation if that was the case.
