What are CDs looking for these days out of copywriter books? 360 campaigns? Ability to write to all mediums (print, social, web, tv)? I don’t know what should be in my book as a mid-level writer because I have some old pieces from ad school that actually reflect my writing abilities so much better than the “real” work I’ve been able to get produced at agencies— if any. But is showing ad school work unprofessional as a mid? Someone tell me what the people hiring mid-level writers are looking for.

However, i have been contacted about a role at IQVIA for a new pure strategy internal group that they are standing up. It would be a 55% salary boost with director title and completely remote. Should I consider it? The salary increase and location flexibility are alluring.

Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
