What are the most important skills I should pick up to transition to an Analytics/marketing science role?

I have an interview coming up for internal audit manager. Currently in external audit. When asked about my experience in ERM - what would you say Is transferable skills that I can leverage in my answer?

Over a year ago, I lateraled from a firm doing mostly land use/development to a volume lender debt finance practice. By volume I mean I’m on 15+ deals a day. I don’t think this is for me….anyone have any other CRE practices that they enjoy? I’m thinking about jumping back to a borrower side practice, but curious to hear about other CRE associate experiences. Thanks!

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

What could be pay range for a Senior Manager in EY? Also, what career level of IBM is it equivalent to ? (Band 9 or Band 10)?

I’m an L&E associate entering my 5th year at a mid-sized regional law firm (approx. 400 attorneys). Barred in PA/NJ. Billed 2100 last year but my requirement is 1950. Should I try to lateral into BigLaw or should I try to go in house? Are either of those realistic options for me? I really need advice. I’ve been in my current role for a couple years and I’m just so defeated. I am good at my job. I work so hard and I’m so undervalued and unappreciated. My work is scrutinized to a degree that no one else experiences (I could give concrete examples of other people delivering design work that haven’t met BASIC design principles and it’s gotten approved) compared to me where I frequently get feedback that somehow makes my work worse but I just comply because it’s not (1/2)

Interviewed for a GS-15 (same agency but different office) and totally aced the interview with excellent answers. They know I’m a top performer with senior references.
