I used to do basic mindfulness meditation. As I learned to recognize the signs of scatterbrain onset better, I started introducing small mindful moments in my day, actively giving myself time to think and process stuff, which eventually replaced meditation. Like doing the morning commute without listening to audio books and instead focusing on what's happening around me. Small things like that.
Think of it as calibrating an instrument (your brain), and figure out what works for your instrument. May sound trite, but worked for me 🤷♂️
1. Feeling mild anxiety, usually about minor upcoming tasks because I feel I can't trust myself to remember them
2. Decline in ability to structure or synthesize concepts efficiently (try reading a news article and quickly coming up with the three key takeaways)
3. Looking at my phone more frequently than usual
Quite specific, but these are the key moments I look for nowadays
If it’s Friday? Watch tv
Addy and Daddy 😍
Take a break and come back to it later. Sometimes my brain just needs to do something else. Go for a walk, call your mom, watch an episode of something, listen to a quick podcast. Then come back to it.
Pomodoro. Todo apps/lists. Break down the problem into the smallest unit and solve it in the dumbest, easiest way possible first.

Go talk to some cute girls for 10 minutes 😼
