I was curious what other firms have set as their utilization goals for their different positions? Currently, everyone from staff to senior manager has a set goal of 90%.
Can anyone tell me what the utilization targets are for each level within Federal Advisory and Federal Consulting at Deloitte? How different than Commercial?
How am I expected to keep 2 interns and a first year and the GDC fully utilized when I and the rest of my team barely have things to hand off.
As a new consultant... How attainable is the utilization goal in general? I know there are several factors but high level: do most people hit it?

Any other Deloitte folks get screwed in their year end rating because of low utilization since there were so few projects to be had earlier this year? Manager openly said it was "beyond my control".
I've been in the world of consulting for several years; amazed at how much more analysts and others feel the need to be constantly utilized. Seeing posts about how holidays impact the metric (cont'd)

EY's fiscal year ends in June and effective July 1st utilization resets. How fitting that there is a heavy emphasis on keeping utilization up in the coming weeks. 😂
I’m 2.5 weeks out of training and haven’t been utilized to the full extent. I haven’t been staffed and rarely have been asked to complete smaller one-off projects. Who should I talk to? MD? Associate? Other analysts? Broader question is ‘how do I ask for work?’
How can utilization encourage efficiency? I have a 30hr code and I finished the work in 5hr. If I charge 5, the write up gives credit to the partner and my utilization suffers.
Anyone in DT think that the utilization reports with everyone's name they send to all seniors and above is just a obnoxious shaming tactic ?
Looking to sign up for a points card in the UK- does anyone have a recommendation? Anyone have the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ MasterCard?

Interviewed for a job late 2018. Accepted another offer. A day later, the first job reached out and I told them. Lost job for going to HR over a verbally abusive boss. Is it weird to reach back out...
I'm sorry if this is out of place, but is anyone interested in coming on my veteran podcast? Have been pinged for a possible role as Director of Operations at a promising looking startup with a 50%% pay increase & equity. It looks like an amazing opportunity.. but my husband and I have just started trying for our first kid, and I'm not sure about leaving the stability and benefits of Big 4, even though I feel like I have run out of career growth here. Has anyone changed jobs at a similar point, or worked at a startup as a new mom, that might be able to share perspective or opinions?
What is the percentage salary increase you were given at your agency for a performance based promotion?
What do MBA grads do at tech firms? The data on any B-School's website says that consulting pays more than tech to MBA grads, however, going by the threads on this app, it seems as if tech pays more. Does the website data not include RSUs? Or does consulting actually pay more? Thanks a lot for your time and effort!

I have a salary range in mind for a new role based on online research and target increase from my comp now. But my research shows the data points are for salaries in HCOL areas. Do I need to adjust what I ask for if it’s a remote role and I’m not in HCOL city? Don’t want to overshoot and lose a great opportunity.
What the typical Sign On Bonus amount Big 4 companies offer ? Would be great if you can share the SOBs got? $, level?

Anyone gotten rhinoplasty? I was getting consults before the pandemic and chickened out bc I’m terrified of dying in surgery for a cosmetic procedure. But I’m considering it again bc I hate how I look in photos and bc we’re all wfh and I’ve never met my colleagues in person so no one would know. Anyone had this done? Was it worth it? Any issues?
Submitted a resume to a recruiter for a job last Monday. They called me within 2 hours and asked to schedule a phone call. The call went well, and they sent me all the necessary paperwork they need me to sign. I signed it within the hour and sent them an email saying I’m looking forward to working with them. Haven’t heard anything back since then. Is that weird? Does the recruiter actually think I am a good fit for the role? She sent me the name of the company and everything.
