I’m an SC but have no MBA. At this point (29, married and expecting kids, have a house) is it worth it for me to pursue an MBA? I have a lot of family responsibility coming up so not sure if I can afford losing income for 2yrs and take on 100k+ in debt. Am I thinking too short sighted? Will having an MBA have a dramatic impact on my career here at Deloitte? Figuring this out is my New Years resolution next year.

This thread is an indictment on the consulting industry.
People are ignoring or impervious to data.
There’s almost no connection with the reality that 80-85% of Americans make less money thy even our six figure 24 year know nothing analysts.
The expectations for being above middle class are 1% lifestyles.
There’s so many cognitive biases, logical fallacies, and pure stupidity that it’s a wonder clients pay us anything. As a group, this thread is a collection of clueless chuckleheads.
I await the coming barrage of reports for speaking the truth…

Pwc6 they don’t get it. Anyone making more money than them is “rich”.

This may explain the disconnect. When you look at the top 1% vs. top .01%, it’s easy to see why people on this thread have differing views of middle class.
Most of the top 1% looks a lot closer to the rest of the 99% than the top .01%. Someone making 300K being grouped in the same bucket as the top .01% makes about as much sense as being grouped with someone making 50K.

A1, I think there are a lot of people in the top 1% income who are middle class. They are objectively upper income, but they are not upper class.
Another variable is spending. I lease a 45k car for $260/mo $260 due at signing. Many people are now paying an average of $700-$900 for similar leases.

Income only gets you to upper middle class.
Upper class is achieved through influence. Income has nothing to do with influence. Wealth does play a factor, but isn't the only factor.
According to the IRS 23k to 250k gross per household is middle class.
