Building stage after saving for almost 10 years.

Pre-approved and just starting to look.

Pre-approved and feeling discouraged. Every time there’s a house within my budget in the town I want to be in someone puts an offer in that I could never compete with before I can even go see it.

Thank you! Good luck to you too!

Thinking of Hudson county, Newport jersey city or close to it. Any thoughts on pros and cons to be considered when purchasing a first condo apt ? Also what resources are available for a first time buyer . Thanks a ton in advance

If I see one more article on how millennials are ruining the economy or housing market by not buying enough homes or selling enough homes I'm going to scream. We were saving for 3 years before Covid and had to use a solid chunk to take care of ourselves and our families during quarantine. Now that we're ready to save again inflation and COL are at an all-time high and we're headed into a recession. And somehow this is my fault for what...not being a boomer? Bffr.

With interest rates between 6.5% and 7.5%, it is safe to say that buyers are slowing down in their search.

I am a real estate agent who is in the process of closing on her first home. We offered $15k under list and asked for closing costs to be paid for. Granted, this is in a very small rural town; however, just know... If you have been looking for a home for the last 2 years and have not had great luck, now is the time to take advantage of the changing market. You can refi when rates drop.
