What type of companies do you think is the best combination of creative projects, good benefits/pay and work life balance?

For now my impressions:
Tech > boring work, good benefits and work life balance
Retail > boring work, worse benefits and good work life balance
Start ups > medium boring but more stressful, no job security, more pay, less benefits

What else there is? What options?
Entertainment? Fashion?

Telcos generally offer many of tech's perks without the rigidity of tech thinking.

Retail, I've always found simultaneously dull and chaotic. Never again.

Charity, zero perks, low pay and as cutthroat as any corporation.

Editorial, don't bother - they're all broke.

Avoid scrappy start-ups unless you’re really young or you come in at C-suite level. I made that mistake a few years back. The pay seems high only because you’ll be doing the jobs of three people. Zero work-life balance and all for the (likely false) pipe dream that one day there’ll be a huge IPO or buy-out. I mean. It happens, sure, but there are a lot of overworked and underpaid ppl who didn’t make a dime.

In house is where it’s at. Good people, still a lot of work sometimes, but decent pay and worthwhile in the end. You get to do your marketing stuff with a lot less ego.

I made that mistake too, I have to say I learned a lot but it didn't make my title grow. But I met people that actually made it in a better company so they built their team and that start-up, in the end, was good for their career.

I’ve enjoyed tech so far. Just gotta choose companies whose leadership care about brand

Interested in everyone’s opinions on replica luxury. I ask because, as noted in the previous thread re: Chanel’s price increases, the quality of authentic luxury bags is going way down while the price increases consistently. Specifically Chanel and LV. I’m fascinated in the online rep community and it looks like rep quality has increased exponentially (with genuine materials and 1:1 markings, stitching, hardware, etc). What’s your argument for or against replicas?

What types of work accommodations can help people with ADHD? I am starting to believe 35+ of having not managed my ADHD has really negatively impacted me in career growth etc. I'm realizing a lot of things about myself are because of the ADHD. I want better for myself and family but 1. I don't enjoy the same things forever 2. Imposter syndrome and RSD make me believe it's acceptable to start over in new places at low salaries. 3. Typical college won't work for me. 4. I also can't relocate.

Any tips on how to deal with this…my entire team was let go today (was 5, now just me).
