I did the becker fast pass before the recent exam changes. I competed all 4 in 4 months with a week off in between each. This was over thanksgiving and holiday break as well, but I was working full time. Only failed audit :(. I found it was helpful to have a scheduled class every day and then the time crunch made me laser focused. I actually passed BEC after only 7 days of studying.

I retained a shit ton from lectures for some areas (AUD). For others I focused not on MCQ (FAR, since I just graduated and remembered most of it). Never listen to anyone who tells you the one method that worked for them is the only way. Try lectures, try MCQ, do some combination that works for you

Let me tell you a secret - feeling like youre learning and actually learning are two mutually exclusive things. When you read or watch a lecture you feel like you’re learning but you’re so passively involved in the material that you actually retain little to nothing. When you jump straight into MCQs it’s tough because yes you get a lot wrong BUT by forcing yourself to come up with an answer based on some logic, once you get a question wrong and see what the right answer is and why you’ll see how your line of thinking was wrong and the learning will be much deeper. For FAR I did not watch a single lecture or open the book at all. It’s not easy and mentally taxing because you’re working your brain a lot more but if you’re going for efficient learning that’s how you do it

like

^now that's impressive

Thank you EY 3, didn’t think of it like that, but it’s true

like

REG - 9 days
FAR - 2 weeks

I did two weeks for each test while working 40 hours a week. Skip all the lectures and don’t read the books, just do hella multiple choice questions, practice tests and progress tests

like

AUD - 7 days 90s
BEC - 6 days 90s
REG - 2.5 weeks 80s
FAR - 2 weeks 90s

3.5 days for BEC. 4 days for Audit

I don’t think I studied for reg audit or bec longer than 40 hours

like

Woah 50 hours or less for REG is amazing

like

30 hours - FAR

I crammed the night before for each test and passed. Not a troll. REG was a 75 by the skin of my teeth.

And agreed with EY 3 - I went straight to MCQs

like

18 days - BEC

BEC was quick for me too. About 3 weeks, with the last two weeks being serious studying. Anyone pass FAR or REG in that timespan though?

1 week, Bec.

McKinsey & Company McKinsey & Company Hi there! I’m looking at applying to McKinsey, and am wondering what is the correct level to apply for. I’m a second year analyst (recently promoted to consultant but title isn’t effective until end of the month), and I’ve been with my firm for 1.5 years. Is business analyst the correct level for me, or should I be looking at associate roles? Reading the description for associate, I feel like it might be the Deloitte equivalent of SC lol
