Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

I'm 44 (turning 45 this summer) and have already reached F.I.
However, going for FAT FIRE, so I'm planning to quit the corporate world in February 2024. What a great Valentine's Day gift!
I havent done the math out since my career just started a couple of years ago, but I'd like to leave corporate around 35 (cutoff is 40 max). I'm doing as much as I can to avoid debt and max my investment accounts so hopefully I can be FI sooner than later.

43 now, 45-47 realistic
Vesting of what? How much do you get to vest each gear? Are they RSUs?
The plan is to transition into my part time follow-on career by 55 (probably with a slow ramp starting around 50). HCOL area, two kids that will finish college around that time, and I intend to fat FIRE.

No debt. Save early and aggressively. Live with parents and live below means. Rental property. Active portfolio management
50, but will likely be a few years after that unless wife or I can keep ramping up income (probably doesn’t need to be both)

40 right now as a single person. If I have a spouse, maybe 35-37.
This husband? Way too much to share.

Was 50, but now thinking about more of a downshift to something id enjoy more for less money and maybe earlier.
35, hopefully to become a stay at home dad
50. Am 26.
Shooting for 50. About 8 years to go. Might be time to validate assumptions with a pro. I hate the idea of paying AUM. Happy to pay an hourly fee.
