Was scheduled for an interview today for a Director pos. early morning I get a Reschedule request to next Wednesday but I cannot make it due to personal commitment .
Called recuit mgr.to let him know and he tells me the director is very busy as she’s the IT. Dir for the whole org.politely asked him to send her availability other than next Haven’t received anything since then . Wondering if such co. Is worth pursuing that doesn’t value others time and that too a replacement pos for the same busy role 🥹

Depends on the job. I’m in sales & found that asking questions you wouldn’t ask in other interviews works wonders. For instance, “do you have any hesitations hiring me or anything I can clear up for you”. I wouldn’t say this in a first interview, it’s more for the second or third interview. It’s a bold move, but it shows you know how to sell. If you can’t sell yourself to them, you can’t sell products. It always surprises them in the best way & gets me that job offer pretty quickly.

That’s a great 2nd interview question
1) Ask the interviewer how long they have been with the company and what they like abut it.
2) What are some of the challenges that the team is currently faced with?

I like the first question, second is kinda standard
What’s the most common reason for turnover?

That’s interesting
For any job, you could typically ask questions like, “what do the first 30,60,90 days look like,” and “are there opportunities to take on more responsibilities and grow within the company”
Chief
Those are good. I once asked how I can have the most impact stepping into role but asking what the first 30,60,90 looks like is even better.
“Why is this position available?”
“What opportunities/challenges are to be expected?”
“First 30/60/90 days?”
“What other staffing needs are needing to be met?”

Hmmm knowing what other gaps they may have is an interesting question.
