Any insight on Colliers ME strategy/implementation consulting practice?
Is it a career dead-end if I want to transition to a larger firm in the future? They seem to be growing really fast, so I feel like there’s room for quick growth and career advancement, based on some conversations I’ve had, but I don’t wanna shoot myself in the foot long term. Also heard lots of MBB and other tier 1/tier 2 firms are contracting them for parts of their engagements. Thoughts? Colliers International

I think it’s unrealistic to expect someone to keep high energy/exceptional performance in everything they do, always. But I do hope for consistency. If I see someone has the potential to go above and beyond, I’m paying extra attention to what they need so I can empower them to do so.

Thank you. And for your insight!
I think it does set a precedence to an extent but obviously you don't expect them to be like that all the time...
I wouldn't actually expect them to exert a hundred and one percent for their perdormance all the time. Remember that we're all just human and we're entitled to not being the best condition at all times. Newer employees tend to go beyond their limits to make a good impression so I suggest going easy on them.
It is unrealistic to expect them to work at that level forever, however it certainly is worth discussing with them. Find out what motivates them. It could be they love taking on new challenges. If so, have a conversation with their leader as to how it can keep the employee happy. It is not about exploiting their hard work; rather, it is about keeping them satisfied so that they feel valued. Some people just enjoy taking on challenges.
We don't really 100% expect them to do the same. Unless they are very consistent at what they do. But then, you can expect as much as you want but you cannot compel them to go above and beyond.
