Who do you use for references when applying to jobs? Pwc was my first job out of college, but wouldn't want to list current managers as they don't know I'm thinking about leaving?

Literally no one. Been here 2.5 years and all the seniors and managers I have worked for are still here. Shocking I know

The recruiter should be smart enough to know how PA works. Maybe you need a different recruiter.

So what about when they're requested?

Is there anyone who you worked for that subsequently left the firm?

Don't list any unless they're requested.

Someone your level that has worked for the firm?

Former professors/colleagues are always good options

Tell them that you don't believe in references. It's such a stupid idea relying on references to guard past performances. Do you expect a candidate to give references to someone who would talk shit about them? Of course not!!

I recently had an interview with BNY for an Analyst role located in DE. The interview went well and I was informed by the recruiter that the team was interested. They asked if I was willing to relocate immediately, and I told him that my decision would be best made if I see an offer. I have not yet received a follow up after this(coming on two weeks) so I know that I've been ghosted. My question is, was I wrong to ask to see the offer before making a decision?

Recent lateral junior associate in brand new practice where I'm the only associate. I'm probably going to bill 1,500 hours max this year due to being very slow and taking time off for a delayed honeymoon which I disclosed during my interview process. I have been told my work product is good, I don't turn anything down, I participate in non-billable work, I'm responsive and I always let people know I'm available to help. Do I need to be worried about getting fired for low hours?

Hey team! I've been thinking about what success would mean in terms of this platform and general inclusion in the team. These are some of my thoughts:

1. Frequency of positive engagements (positive in a productive, constructive sense)
2. Increasing numbers of people engaging in each topic as they get more comfortable using the tool and airing their opinions
3. Some measure outside the app of team engagement in day to day interactions (changes in psychological safety)

What are your thoughts?
