I am seeking new employment, I was recently laid off due to lack of work. I would very much appreciate any leads. I have a Bs in Construction Management and over 15 years experience with Revit and AutoCAD and 7 years of plumbing design. I have solid references and impeccable work ethic. I truly enjoy what I do. Working remotely the last three years has become a way of my life and supports our current situation well, therefore I am seeking a similar role but will consider other opportunities.

Hey team! So I was laid off from my SDR position about a week ago. A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? I applied to other positions in the same company. What about reaching out to previous co workers at a different company? Not sure how to navigate this… please help. Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? The acquisition was public so they can see Im no longer employed with the most recent work history on my resume

Looking for some insight. I recently got laid off from a growing start up. I loved the culture, the product, & they actually promote their people. I’ve been an BDR for a year at my previous company & then only a month at this one. My goal is to become an AE but now I’m wondering if that’s what I want. People who have had confidence knocks: how did you get it back? I was laid off, 6M out of work, had therapy, now freelancing but I’m slow af. It’s like my brain only works in 2nd gear now.

Hey everyone, I was recently laid off.. on November 3 actually. It’s a “temporary layoff” and I’m one of the 4 who got laid off. My return date is February 1st. Would you wait, and collect employment insurance (Canada) or start looking for a new job??

I have been going on interviews and noticed 2 department heads already assume I was laid off or fired due to a 4 months gap. I explained I left my last role due to short term health issues that have been resolved. Not even sure how to respond when they assume. Any advise? Thanks!

Has anyone taken part of the education reimbursement program? I’ve been here for 4 years and I’m thinking of obtaining my Master’s in Organizational Leadership, but I feel like with this merger, if I started the program and then there are layoffs or too many new hires, or work just becomes overwhelming, I wouldn’t be able to complete my program. I’m already wearing multiple hats when it comes to work. Does anyone have insight on how it works/what it’s like? Thanks in advance!

Is it worth going to a smaller firm like Crowe, Baker Tilly, etc in order to break into FDD? Or should I keep looking at Big 4? I'm coming from risk advisory (current S1 CPA), so the switch seems very difficult.

My rotation opportunity here is on hold indefinitely due to covid, and from the firm's side, they prefer external hires from audit (good experience, steal them from other B4, no transfer politics).

I have to document the difference between the responsibilities and skills of L2 and L3,l specific to the company, which I am finding difficult because they technically have access to do the same thing and perform the same tasks. Any ideas you want to share would be helpful, I shouldn’t say difficult but more having to really think on how to make them different.

Merrill Advisors - I have a client with an account at Merrill and am told that they have a money fund available which insures up to an aggregate of $5,000,000 in FDIC coverage. Is this a CDARs program and they are misinformed or does such a program exist and what is it called? I was told $5mm in coverage with daily liquidity which obviously wouldn’t apply to CDARs.
