Cisco interviewed me for 3 months for a couple of roles and then offered me comp that is considerably less than my current comp for a product manager role!! They also said its cisco policy to not offer rsu for mcol cities. Rsu is apparently only meant for candidates in hcol cities.
Need to punch a bag every day for several days to get over this bs.

Aren't you worried about falling off your high horse? You do know that not having a job and landing an interview with a place one REALLY wants to work with can make people eager and seem desperate to get in, right? I guess good for you that you are so privileged to have not yet found yourself in that position in life. I have hired 'desperate' candidates and they have turned out to be very committed and loyal employees. Check your entitlement and privilege; it's people like you who make me ashamed AF to admit that I work in HR.
People that really need and appreciate a position in the company are grateful and become loyal. If he/she is qualified and your only reason for NOT hiring is that person appears desperate, that’s a reflection on you.
Wow.
Yes, we have all passed on folks who seemed too needy in interviews. Eager is good, but begging feels off and raises worries like they might quit soon or hide issues. Stay calm and ask good questions back. That builds trust way better.

Building trust is very important in my opinion.
