Anyone work at RMAS (audit) or Morgan Stanley & can speak to the culture, WLB, comp?

Salary range for Accenture federal consultant in DC area ?

Hi All, I have an offer from a top consulting firm (Sr Consultant position) and have an opportunity with my current firm (small firm) to become a practice lead (that comes with a promotion to the managerial position). Compensation wise the new offer would pay me almost twice as what I am currently at. The practice lead position comes with a profit sharing option that will potentially beat the new offer if I were to successfully bring in one project. Any thoughts on what seems better of the two?

Curious about compensation at MBB vs B4/ACN. Obviously MBB makes more at the highest levels, but is it really that much more in terms of total comp? It is definitely a lot more cash comp but for example, ACN does a pretty good RSU program which from what I’ve read gets people pretty close to MBB. Of course, cash is king though… thoughts?

How do you reply to recruiters who message you on LinkedIn? Do you ask for the salary and role description?.. don’t want to waste time having lengthy convos with all of them

Why all the McKinsey people updating their LinkedIn profiles based on recent promotion news. The promotion is effective on January 1st! They don’t even know now what is their future compensation!!

How do you decide on your exit ? When I check the profiles of ex-consultants or read here success stories about new exits, I m sometimes amazed by the jumps people make not only in terms of compensation but also the role and responsibilities. So, when you make such a step, how are you making sure that your skillset will fit the role? Is there any fear of failing if you jump for example from a consultant to a director? Fake it till make it? Or what is your strategy?

was negotiating salary & was told by partner that 1) i shouldn’t be negotiating bc i have experience (the position is entry level but i’ll be coming it w ~1 yoe) but bc i deserve it and have skills 2)that higher salary means higher expectations and that’s something i should keep in mind. i responded w what transferable skills i’m developing in my current job

Trying to figure out the move here. Around 1 year post-MBA as a project lead at a healthcare boutique. I have an offer from LEK that would be a step down, but +40-50k total comp. However, I think I can only make a move from one firm to another once, and I'm trying to maximize for exit opps and LEK exit opps would not be substantially better than my current firm, plus it would set me back in terms of progression timeline. Do I take the new role, or wait it out and shoot my shot for MBB later?

What salary adjustment does your firm give for someone living in NYC or SF compared to Chicago?

Need help with salary expectations, please. Interviewing with Aon/WTW/Mercer for lead/senior associate type roles in their Rewards consulting practices (have 3 years of relevant Human Capital consulting experience, an advanced degree and 1 exam from ASA). Is 125k base too steep of an ask (HCoL)? Its on par with PwC base for a Sr Associate but not sure how comp at these other firms compares. Thanks!

I’m dealing with an external recruiter for a industry role I’d like to take, we are at salary negotiation stages now and I initially said I would be happy with £85k (pre-interviews), in a later conversation he said the base is £120k + bonuses. He has now said they are offering £85k + bonuses and sign on amounting to around £115k. Do I double down and refer back to the £120k? It’s a massive jump in salary for me but I’m surprised the offer on his end has gone down to what I originally asked for.

I'm working at a tier 2 firm and got an offer from P&G's finance department. Although salary is lower, they offer a better work-life balance.. Everyone keep saying that "you'll have better exit opportunities in two-three years!" but.. dude.. it's p&g. isn't a better exit opportunity already?

Should I take same role at another Big 4 firm (opportunity is for Senior Associate in Tech Strategy Consulting at Strategy&, $190k base). Current Senior in Tech Strategy @ EY-Consulting ($175k base), would likely be promoted to Mgr this coming spring. Mainly intrigued by the more prestigious brand, higher salary +signing bonus, faster upward mobility (~1 year cadence to be promoted ranks — seems to take numerous years between ranks @ EY-C). But worth losing the connections/brand I’ve built @ EY?

The company has McKinsey background (found nothing related to the company) and offers competitive salary (60k for entry role). Why the hell sounds every job description now like you personally work for the CEO and who falls for that?
