Rate my redemption! Girlfriend (ATL) and I (DFW) are flying round trip Air France business class to Florence and Rome for 176,000 AMEX MR points = 220,000 Flying Blue miles.

Plus domestic airfare to rendezvous point (JFK) + taxes and fees on international travel: $1,600

Estimated hotel cost after AMEX credit: $841

Plus inter-italy train travel, COVID test, other expenditures.

Estimated retail cost of international tickets is $3,100 each way per person so that's ~64¢/MR point

Comparing a couple opportunities. What would be an acceptable market range in DFW and Austin, TX for new manager for OR or Med/Surg? Have 8 hrs nurse experience in OR, BSN-RN & MBA. Thank you!

So I was recently laid off. Wondering if I should keep investing into the market (dca into blue chip crypto + index funds) or if I should just stop since I don’t have recurring income anymore. For more context: I live at home and i have a decent amount in savings. I just would feel more comfy if I had $ coming in, especially given $ invested in the market now is losing value in the short term. But also worried I’m missing out on DCA and building long term wealth through investing. Thoughts??

Planning a trip to Yellowstone on July 4th. How bad can the crowds be? Landing SLC on 29th night, drive to Yellowstone on 30th ( it’s a long drive I know). Will we able to cover both yellow stone and grand Teton in 2 -2.5 days? We fly back from SLC on July 3rd evening. Any Tips and recommendation? Is it a bad idea ? Should we change our trip to someplace else /Utah?

Looking for work opportunities in San Diego. I am currently an Assistant Controller for a consulting company and have 6 years of experience in outsourced accounting as well as business development. Main industries I've worked with are service, logistics, hospitality, groceries. Salary range $100k+

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how salaries for equivalent jobs vary between Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco / Bay area? If your company does COL adjustments by location, what are the relative ratios?

In contrast to the other post: Best airports in the US? I’ll start:

ATL - extremely efficient and the plane train comes often and fast. ECCO and One Flew South are both great airport restaurants.
TPA - super easy to get in and out of. The hub and spoke design is also very efficient. Terminal A is one of the most comfortable terminals out there with all of the high top tables and ample electrical outlets.

Looking for some advice on best path forward, I am currently a Cost accountant at a pretty big company based in Atl, My team is great and the people in the office are pretty nice, however the salary could be better, company feels like Im being paid market but I’ve been fending offers off for 5k-10k + bonus more. I have 4+ years of corporate experience (2 in REV acct, 1.5 in AP/AR, .75 in cost) hold a MSA, and halfway through my CPA. Any advice you can lend would be much appreciated 🤗

How do I bring this up to my manager and how do I “fight” to get paid what I should get paid?
